What is included in a home inspection?
An Insite Inspection Group LLC's comprehensive home inspection covers the basics of the homes functionality and safety of what is readily apparent. Additional outbuildings such as sheds, garages and pool houses are not automatically included but can be provided upon request.
How long does a typical inspection take?
Most inspections take between 2 to 4 hours for a standard residential home. Depending on the size and age of the property, priceing can vary. We like to add an extra hour or two for homes that are older than 1950. We also add more time for additional outbuildings.
When should I schedule my inspection?
It is recommended to schedule your inspection within 30 days of signing your inspection agreement. This allows you to make informed decisions and negotiate repairs if necessary before closing.
What is the inspection report?
The report is a detailed document outlining all findings, including photos, videos and recommendations.
Are inspections required for sellers?
While not legally required, a pre-listing inspection is highly recommended. It helps identify potential issues, improves market value, and provides peace of mind for prospective buyers.
